πŸ’” DESCRIPTION
A winged wolf with a serpent's tail that dreams of returning to Heaven. He's a fierce and formidable fighter and reliable to the last.

Shirou's version of Marchosias is a two-headed pale grey wolf that stands roughly as tall as him. Its inspiration comes from Shirou's canonical appearance, as well as from Norse mythology, in particular SkΓΆll and Hati who "are only mentioned in passing references that have to do with their pursuing Sol and Mani, the sun and moon, through the sky in hopes of devouring them. At Ragnarok, the downfall of the cosmos, they catch their prey as the sky and earth darken and collapse."

The head on the left bears a sun crest upon its forehead and represents Shirou. The head on the right, bearing a moon upon its forehead, represents his brother Atsuya. The respective heads will rise and fall depending upon which personality is active within Shirou at the time, as will its wings, which do not enable flight.

Its twin tails are a nod to both the Ouroboros for its representation of wholeness (in this case, one for each head of the wolf) as well as to the symbol of Marchosias itself, which is symmetrical in nature. Shirou's Marchosias, however, is currently not "perfect." The "Hati" head, or the head bearing the symbol of the moon, appears positioned strangely upon the demon's shoulder rather than its neck, jutting out from an unusual angle as if it were placed there unnaturally.

Perhaps one day, when Shirou has learned what it means to be "perfect," and has merged with his brother's personality, this will be something that changes with his demonic Persona, as well.

(Please don't steal my shitty wolf art.)
